Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Uncle Raymond

My Uncle Raymond died last Friday. He was a sweet guy -- usually had a smile on his face, a kind word for everyone, a gentle spirit. I hadn't seen in a while -- it was probably at Aunt Peggy's funeral several years ago. But he was often in my thoughts and prayers, especially when Mom got a letter from Aunt Dorothy or after she'd talked to them on the phone.
I'm glad Mom had a chance to see him one more time before he died. (Thanks, Kath!) Wish I could have taken her and Dad back for the funeral. But at least Ray's at peace now, and those of us who knew him can cherish our memories.

The Perfect Gift

I have the perfect solution to all your gift-giving woes -- give a donation to the favorite charity of your recipient or to your own favorite charity.
Hutch is fortunate to have an Alternative Christmas Market. A variety of charities are available to explain their causes. Some of them offer treats or a small token such as a bookmark, and you can sign up for door prizes. Donation forms list each charity represented, and you can choose exactly how much you'd like to donate to which organization(s). There are also "In Memory of" and "In Honor of" cards you can take.
Sometimes it can be so hard to figure out what to get someone. This is the perfect solution. It's also a way you can help others. I've participated in the Alternative Christmas Market since its inception. In fact, I gave donations to some of these charities and made up my own little donation certificates in the pre-Alternative Christmas Market years.
So remember this suggestion when searching for the perfect gift.
